Arun Film will be sharing their knowledge of local film, television and cinema history, with short films, clips and photos, while Bootlace Cinema will be showing visitors what we did for home entertainment before video and DVD came along, with a fun 8mm film show for the whole family! Location: Museum Monday 11th November 7.30pm Talk on: Frocktails: the clues and questions in costumes Speaker: Stephanie Richards Location: The Salvation Army, Canada Grove CHRISTMAS LUNCH - Wed 4th December Location: Friary Arms (Members & Stewards only). Other Events The Society also attends some of the major events across the town, having a stall to promote the work of the Society and Museum, recruit new members and volunteers and sell publications etc. Our ability to do this is determined by the availability of those able to attend. We are always under a Gazebo, or in a Marquee or hall and it can be a very pleasurable duty, particularly on a sunny day when there is also lots going on around as well. If you are able to assist, please leave your name on the rota in the Museum. |
